Transition Real Estate Network (“TREN”) is a mission based real estate advisory founded in Baltimore, Maryland by two former Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (“NACA”) colleagues, Maurice Mckinney II and Jamal Bell. Through their experience advocating for working class families, Maurice and Jamal discovered that there was a need for a homebuyer program that tangibly addressed the racial wealth divide in America. Charged with enthusiasm, Maurice and Jamal sought strategic relationships with True Homeownership Lending Institutions that also believed in giving working class families the opportunity to build generational wealth. Since TRENs founding, the organization has educated and provided tangible wealth building opportunities to hundreds of working class families.*True Homeownership Lending Institutions are defined as mortgage providers who provide significant downpayment and closing cost grants without time of ownership restrictions, equity sharing, and penalties for purchasers turning their homes into investment properties after one year of primary residential homeownership.
