Transportation Demand Management
Founded in 1988, The Transportation Management Association Group was the first Transportation Management Association to form in the Southeast and the 35th in the nation. The TMA Group is a public-private partnership committed to providing mobility options for Middle Tennesseans. The TMA Group is jointly funded by Williamson County Government and the City of Franklin, using Surface Transportation Program Funds, Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Funds, with matching money from private sector members to operate a wide range of commute services, including a regional vanpool program, management of the Franklin Transit Authority for the City of Franklin, and the Clean Air Partnership of Williamson County. The TMA Group is governed by a Board of Directors composed of key business leaders and government officials.
