Trillium Thermography

Thermography measures the infrared radiation (heat) being emitted from the surface of the skin. The strength of thermography as a health assessment tool is its ability to detect minor physiological changes over time. Breast Thermography is applicable to all women, including those who have dense, fibrocystic breasts or implants. It is a safe, non-invasive breast health assessment with zero compression or radiation exposure. It is based on research demonstrating that an abnormal infrared image is the single-most important marker of high risk for developing breast disease. By carefully examining changes in the temperature and blood vessels of the breasts, signs of breast abnormalities may be detected years before a more serious problem develops. This provides for the earliest possible warning signal. Due to the extreme sensitivity of breast thermography, these temperature variations and vascular changes may be among the earliest signs of breast disease and/or a pre-cancerous state of the breast.
