Trimm Design is a Dutch design, naval architecture, and engineering studio specialising in high-precision yacht builds. From our office in Leeuwarden, our team of 50+ designers and engineers delivers an integrated chain of services across the full lifecycle of a vessel—covering concept design, exterior styling, naval architecture, and engineering in construction, exterior/outfitting, and complete interior technical design through to production level. Grounded in decades of experience in the Dutch superyacht industry, we combine technical depth with a meticulous and methodical approach. Our teams work in advanced 2D and 3D environments including Siemens NX, TopSolid’Wood, AutoCAD, Rhino, ShipConstructor and more, ensuring an accurate and efficient translation from concept to engineering and ultimately to production. We support shipyards, interior builders, casco manufacturers, naval architects, and private clients with: • Interior Engineering – GA refinement, technical floor plans, 1:20 packages, detailed production drawings, workshop preparation, and CNC output. • Exterior & Structural Engineering – Basic and Detail Engineering (BE/DE), outfitting, construction detailing, structural integration, and production-ready 3D modelling. • Yacht Design – exterior styling, concept development, 3D modelling, and build-oriented design documentation. • Naval Architecture – feasibility studies, stability, weight calculations, performance requirements, regulatory compliance, and design-to-engineering support. • Project Management & Process Support – planning, coordination, on-site support, and optimisation of CAD-CAM workflows for both newbuild and refit programmes.
