Trinity University Student Managed Fund

Trinity University’s Student Managed Fund (SMF) is one of the largest undergraduate student-run investment programs in the United States, with students actively managing more than $17 million in equity assets. The program gives students the opportunity to apply advanced financial and analytical concepts in a real-world setting, making investment decisions that directly impact the portfolio’s performance. Members conduct in-depth equity research, build financial models, and present investment recommendations to the Fund. SMF serves as a bridge between classroom learning and professional experience, preparing students for careers in asset management, corporate finance, investment banking, and related fields. The Fund’s goal is to provide a rigorous educational experience while striving to outperform the S&P 500 Index through disciplined, research-driven investing.
