Triton Power Limited

Triton Power is a private independent power generating company with a capacity of 1.35GW. We provide power to the UK wholesale electricity market through our UK power stations, playing an important role in security of supply when renewable generation does not deliver. Our combined output is sufficient to provide electricity for up to half a million homes in the UK. We support the National Grid Electricity System Operator (ESO) in managing the stability of the electricity system by proving inertia through a six year synchronous compensation contract, a world first approach which uses less energy and reduces carbon emissions – a significant first step towards a zero-carbon electricity system. We pride ourselves on safe, reliable and efficient operations, meeting all our obligations safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.
