Tronsquare was born on May 19, 2012, at the Unlock London Hackathon sponsored by GA London and American Express. The following day it won the Most Innovative Application award, and started its path in the world. Tronsquare came from simple ideas about how to add more fun to Foursquare by using the game concept from the movie Tron.
