Founded in 2008 by James Hagger, TROUBLEMAKERS is an animation studio and production company based in the heart of Paris. Our producers and directors are united by a common desire to challenge assumptions. To question each preconceived idea, to challenge the status quo, to question creative briefs again and again. We need to push boundaries if we want to find the best concepts and the best ideas, for our mission is to help companies expand and develop their brand identities and to connect with global audiences as well as to create bold visuals which will be remembered in time. We’re the Troublemakers, the challengers, which means that rules need to be broken if we want to get things moving. TROUBLEMAKERS has been behind many award-winning advertising campaigns (Van Cleef & Arpels, Orange, WWF, CCTV and Amnesty International). Our Challenging Assumption signature translates into a desire for excellence that drives us to always want to surpass ourselves in the projects we produce and to tell beautiful stories that will profoundly move our audiences. In the span of a few years, TROUBLEMAKERS’ artistic approach has convinced and given us financial stability conductive to a thriving advertising business, but also investment in the development of new creative formats (Feature Films, Documentaries and TV series). Our studio is equipped for live action shoots, 2D & 3D animation, compositing, SFX and colour grading. TROUBLEMAKERS is a member of the CJD and a board member of the UPC & the CFPe.
