In the past Rod & Fly lacked a showroom facility where their gear and merchandise could be displayed for visiting anglers to examine. Now with the introduction of its latest venture this is all set to change. The recent unveiling of their “ Fly Lab” fills this void by being part showroom, part fly fishing research facility and part fly fishing information and drop-in center. In The Fly Lab, Rod & Fly have all of their available merchandise on display under the one roof, with all of their fly patterns available at arms length and all of their fly rods on display with representatives of each model rigged-up and available for a test drive. An additional benefit of The Fly Lab is that it will provide anglers visiting Tasmania, both national and international, a place where they can drop-in, and have a chat about the current fly fishing conditions around Tasmania. This way recently arrives anglers can then make an informed decision on exactly where to fish while getting stocked-up on any piece of fly fishing equipment that they may be lacking and can get a supply of the most suitable flies for their intended fly fishing destination.
