TrustNordisk came to be in 2008, when film and production company, Zentropa (est. 1991), and the oldest production company in the world, Nordisk Film (est. 1908), merged their sales arms Trust Film Sales and Nordisk Film International Sales. Based in Denmark, TrustNordisk is one of the leading sales agents in Europe with a diverse catalogue and decades of experience and close familiarity with the film business, including some of the most seminal Scandinavian auteurs and film makers, such as Lars von Trier, Thomas Vinterberg, May El-Toukhy, Anders Thomas Jensen, Amanda Kernell and Hans Petter Moland. Furthermore, we offer comprehensive knowledge of the profiles and specific preferences of A-list festivals. We are a creative partner for both the producer and distributor, and depending on your needs we offer to be actively involved already from the early script stages and all the way to when the film has completed its run in cinemas, on streaming platforms, VOD and so forth. Besides sales, our expertise includes project development, in depth knowledge of the demand in territories worldwide, targeted positioning and tailored marketing plans, press relations and more. We take great pride in being the sales representative of established and world-known filmmakers from Scandinavia as well as new talent. We recognize that a small-budget film by a debuting director can travel wide and far at festivals and in cinemas worldwide as long as the talent is there.
