Leonardo da Vinci Leonardo believed that observation was the critical component to painting well. In this class we will practice painting from observation using interesting still life objects. We will enhance our understanding of value (lights and darks), color mixing, and composition with a focus on depicting three-dimensional forms and space on a two-dimensional surface.
