Tulsa Crime Stoppers

The mission of the Crime Prevention Network, Inc dba Tulsa Crime Stoppers is to provide valuable crime prevention education and safety awareness services to residents and public safety providers in the greater Tulsa area. Best known for administering Crime Stoppers, which is an anonymous crime reporting hotline offering cash rewards for reporting criminal activity in Tulsa and surrounding counties. Since its inception, Crime Stoppers has been directly responsible for the solution of over felony cases and boosts an 85% arrest rate based on the tips received. More than $12 million in stolen property and narcotics has been recovered and the organization has committed over in rewards. Training is also provided through the Alert Neighbor program to train citizen patrols to help keep neighborhoods safe. Since its inception in 1980, well over a million residents in the Tulsa area have received this training. The Alert Neighbor program enlists citizen participation in crime prevention through neighborhood meetings where safety in the home and neighborhood are emphasized. In addition, Tulsa Crime Stoppers has two programs focusing on young people. Generation tXt is a multi-faceted project designed by a diverse group of teens to help young teens and families practice safe driving, specifically by addressing the hazards of texting and emailing while driving. Safe Escape is a nationally recognized program designed to teach children and families critical abduction prevention and survival tactics. All services provided by Tulsa Crime Stoppers are free of charge to participants, and are entirely funded through private donations. In order to efficiently and effectively serve our entire community, the Crime Prevention Network seeks the support of individuals, corporations and foundations throughout Tulsa.
