Tunes For Kidz

Tunes For Kids is a fiscally sponsored project of the Arts and Business Council of Nashville, a nonprofit organization and a 2022 Call For Kindness Fellow a part of the Riley’s Way Organization. The entire team is composed of 12 high school students who love music. Our purpose is to transform underserved communities by introducing music opportunities through repurposed instruments and sharing imperative music knowledge. In our 2 and a half years of being an organization we’ve given over 350 instruments to kids in the foster care system and to kids of low-socioeconomic status. Additionally, we’ve launched an educational blog called Piece of the Week(P.O.W) that highlights diverse writers and artists in the music industry in hopes to give kids opportunities that would traditionally only be afforded in private lessons.
