Twenzao

Twenzao is a carpooling application which connects private car owners and passengers travelling in the same direction. Without Twenzao, people in many parts of Africa pay informal travel middlemen who wave down private cars for them - unsafe, inconvenient, unreliable, middlemen costs. With Twenzao, the environment is less polluted due to a reduced number of cars travelling with vacant seats, the burden on the public transport is relieved, transport is made available even to remote areas not covered by the current public transport offering, and, most importantly, there are several safety mechanisms on Twenzao.
