Twist Education was formed by Dr. Henry Halff and Mr. Stephan Samuelson in December 2008 with the purpose of producing games for science education. In April 2012, Twist’s Board of Managers reviewed the enterprise’s progress, status, and prospects. The Board concluded that the firm could not succeed in its mission given the work that lay ahead and constraints on its resources. Accordingly, it directed the company to wind up its affairs. Shortly thereafter, Twist ceased operations. Henry's firm, Halff Resources, now owns Twist Education. Although Twist Education has ceased operations, Henry still has an abiding interest in games for science education and is on the alert for opportunities to revive Twist.
