Twist was founded in September 2015 after identifying a significant problem in the Dispersing Cap Market. Almost all premixed products from beverages to household cleaning sprays, body wash to shampoos, are 85/90% water. This means that manufacturers ship water around the globe every day producing billions of tons of carbon emissions and plastic packaging. Taking the beverage market as an example, premixed offerings are laced with unwanted sugars and additives to support shelf life over time. Our early research has found that if manufactures kept the ingredients apart up until the point of consumption, then most, if not all unwanted preservatives and sugars could be removed. Furthermore, the environmental gains from ceasing to ship water around the globe are unimaginably enormous.
