Twogere

Twogere is a grassroots organization working to close the youth mental health gap in Uganda. The organization was founded out of the conviction that young people with lived experience of mental health conditions are not only service users, but leaders and changemakers whose voices must shape how mental health care is designed and delivered. This belief is put into practice through school and community programs that challenge stigma and discrimination, create safe spaces for dialogue, and bring mental health into everyday conversations. Twogere partners with health systems to integrate mental health into existing services, builds community-based models of support, and equips young people with the skills, confidence, and leadership opportunities they need to thrive.
