Ubi Center

The UBI Center's mission is to produce open-source research to inform a robust policy debate around universal basic income. While UBI's popularity and the cash transfer evidence base have grown, development and analysis of UBI policies. We fill that gap by simulating UBI policies to evaluate effects on poverty, inequality, and economic growth, and compare UBIs to other existing and proposed policies. All our work built with modern data analysis and software development tools, and available open source for any researcher to reproduce. Led by MIT-trained economist and former Google data scientist Max Ghenis, UBI Center research has been featured in outlets including Politico, CNBC, and the World Bank.
