With over six awards and nine nominations recognizing our excellence in performance and community impact, UMATO has become a force in shaping African narratives through socially conscious and artistically rich productions. What We Do: Develop and stage award-winning African theatre productions Facilitate youth empowerment programs and community arts outreach Mentor and train emerging artists in acting, directing, and production Build cross-sector partnerships with schools, NGOs, and cultural bodies Advocate for arts as a tool for education, healing, and nation-building At Ubizo-Ma-Afrika, we believe arts, sports, and recreation are not side projects—they are central to our national identity and future.
