Mission Ubuntu Green is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to promoting healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities through advocacy, education, community development, and empowerment. Our Values Ubuntu Green believes that our core values drive the mission and vision of the organization. Our core values were developed working with our staff, Board of Directors, Advisory Council, and key volunteers. We believe that an organization does not possess core values, but that the individuals in the organization have core values that bring them together for the greater good of the community. • Equity - Healing injustices through fairness and accessibility • Well-Being – Encouraging sustained spiritual, mental, and physical health for all through positive and interdependent community contributions • Compassion - Practices and inspires empathetic compassion through recognizing the assets that exist in all individuals and communities • Community - Addressing the needs identified by communities of opportunities through building interdependent relationships to produce a collective impact • Creativity - Nurturing organic, community resources, while transforming despair into prosperity Noble Cause Ubuntu Green is dedicated to creating sustainable and equitable communities by promoting and enabling policy and systems change for all individuals and communities. The quality of life of all people is achieved through living in a society free of environmental contamination, discrimination, isolation, and marginalization. United communities promote health and happiness through interdependent relationships that support the spiritual and emotional growth of youth and adults, where all have access to healthy food, safe and recreational neighborhoods, jobs, educational opportunities, and transportation options that have minimal negative impacts on the environment.
