Ubuntu is a term that comes from the African language Nguni Bantu that means “Humanity” or “the Quality of being Human”. It is often translated as “I am because We are”, or “humanity towards others”. The Ubuntu Philosophy brings the belief in a universal bond of sharing, that connects all humanity. It is also considered as a lifestyle with self-assurance. Ubuntu does not mean that people should not address themselves – rather the opposite – “How are you going to do in order to enable the community around you to be able to improve?” Ubuntu invites us to find the truth within ourselves – It is only through taking care of our loved ones that we can be the true and best version of ourselves. Considering that technology has evolved so much over the last century and life expectancy has been continuously increasing, one would think that people are now living balanced and fulfilled lives. The shocking truth is that we have never faced such distressing situation when it comes to overall health. There have never been so many cases of cancer, chronic and terminal illnesses, mental health issues, anxiety, depression and more. Many of us have been dedicating many years in our lives to establish career and financial stability, parenthood is becoming more common at a later age.
