UCMAS uses an instrument called Abacus 🧮 - The first calculator known to man! We make children use six fingers (on both hands combined) to move the beads of the Abacus and learn to calculate on it. This helps stimulate six areas of their brain! Through continuous and repetitive movements, over 6 months, their cognitive abilities start getting developed. Then, children start doing something incredible i.e. start visualizing the Abacus in their minds and calculate mathematical sums without any external help, often faster than a calculator!
