Over the Years UDAAN has not about changing the lives of the people but doing something even more basic than that – making them survive – enabling them to fight their battle of survival against Mother Nature. While the drive kicked-off successfully in the initial years, it was soon realized that it should not be restricted to a handful of people. Moreover, it was not practically possible for a bunch of guys to reach out to the needy in the entire Jharkhand region. Hence, the expansion plan started with Udaan started collecting funds from volunteers and asking them to reach out to the needy people in their areas. Today, around 10 to 20 volunteers provide their time and effort to UDAAN in the Jharkhand region and help the poor. Expansion has made it possible for UDAAN to reach the remotest areas of Jharkhand. This has also helped spread the message of UDAAN to different areas of Jharkhand. The world that true giving always respects and preserves human dignity. This is what we hope to do for times to come.
