Project UDNIGW (Universal Dark-Net Illuminating GateWay). I have developed a working prototype device more generally known as a high-interaction Honeynet but without the honey (negative connotations). A Honeypot server network capable of automatically identifying/isolating Zero-day exploits using a series of Xen/KVM virtual machines. Simple in design but complex to configure. Universal due to its applicably and utility. UDNIGW securely illuminates the Dark-Net to scrutinize traffic for intrusion by exercising popular IP protocols. It also provides a virtual forensic sandbox for exploring malware. This device can also serve as an early warning for APT(Advanced Persistent Threats). An essential ingredient for corporate network security.
