Ukko is believed to be the supreme god of the sky, weather, harvest and mostly -god of thunder. The name UKKO reflects the Finnish relentlessness, knowledge and strength which we at UKKO-STEAM channel in everything we do. THE START OF UKKO-STEAM UKKO was established in 2014 from solid international industry experience. The company’s founder Janne Kolehmainen has a wealth of technical expertise and experience in recovery and power boiler projects world-wide. Past couple of years pulp and energy consulting projects have been undertaken in Finland, Poland, Spain and Uruguay. Due to the expanding workload with one of the largest pulp producers in Sweden, UKKO established a daughter company in 2015. In 2016 UKKO kept on growing when a parent company was established. Same year UKKO corporation had its name for the group of companies when the parent company registered auxiliary business name UKKO-GROUP. As for now, UKKO has grown from one-man-company to family corporation.
