Ukraine Cares

Ukraine CARES was born out of the humanitarian crisis following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Shortly after the onset of the war one of our founding members visited Ukraine and was moved by both the bravery of the people and by the urgent need to assist a healthcare system on its knees. Following discussions with frontline health workers we were shocked to learn that they were suffering casualties whilst attending to the needs of soldiers on the front line. These healthcare workers were left exposed in a warzone by their reliance on civilian vehicles, which, tragically, were being targeted. To respond to this need, CARES decided to give these doctors and paramedics the protection they needed to continue serving the most vulnerable. CARES has sourced and delivered two armoured ambulances to a military hospital on the front line near Bakhmut. What’s more, we filled these ambulances with medical equipment, trauma kits, humanitarian goods, and tactical equipment such as night vision goggles. To date, the supporters of Ukraine CARES have provided over in aid to Ukraine and have funded the production of a short film documenting the brutal realities of the war, in an effort to raise awareness and support. The film chronicles the delivery of donations for the Ukrainian military, a military hospital, an orphanage, and the women’s football team FC Ateks.
