Un Global Compact Network Italy

The Global Compact Network Italy Foundation (UNGCNI) was created with the aim of contributing to the development, in Italy, of the UN Global Compact, the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, launched in by the then Secretary General of the United Nations Kofi Annan, to spread the principles of sustainable development through responsible business practices. The Network operates to promote the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact - relating to human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption - and to support the private sector in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations 2030 Agenda. The Italian network currently brings together a total of over 780 business and non-business organisations, and proposes activities such as: training opportunities, in person and online, and discussion with sector experts and representatives of the United Nations world; peer-to-peer and networking opportunities between participating companies; events at national and international level, to encourage institutional dialogue and multi-stakeholder partnerships; accelerators, working groups and observatories on specific topics; collaboration in the realization of researches, scientific studies, and publications on the main topics related to the world of sustainability.
