ABOUT THE UN GLOBAL COMPACT NETWORK NIGERIA As a special initiative of the UN Secretary-General, the United Nations Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere, to integrate sustainability into their operations and strategies, by aligning with the ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption. Launched in 2007, the mandate of the UN Global Compact Network Nigeria is to guide and support the Nigerian business community in advancing the UN goals and values through responsible corporate practices, as enshrined in the Global Compact's Ten Principles. With more than 200 participants cutting across businesses, civil society, and academia, the UN Global Compact Network Nigeria is the foremost and most-inclusive corporate sustainability initiative in Nigeria.
