In the increasingly competitive, stressful, and elite world of college admissions, students are being curated at an early age in order to brand themselves as perfect applicants. At Uncommon, we believe it should be about authenticity. We want students to go through this process not only to be a good applicant—but to also become a better writer, thinker, and human. Rather than fit the mold, we work with students to take initiative, seek challenges, engage their curiosity, contribute to their communities, and gain a broader perspective of the world and themselves. Throughout our time together, students will push their own boundaries as a writer, think more deeply about themselves and their impact on the world, and trailblaze their way to their future.
