Under Ground Optics Llc

Under Ground Optics LLC was formed to meet the needs of the underground professional. We are developing sighting solutions to better manage the accuracy of obtaining center lines underground. We also develop products geared specifically for the underground surveyor. Products currently available are Mining Plumb Bobs. The specially designed Plumb Bobs are utilized for total station setups where speed and accuracy are of great importance. As a underground surveyor of 23 years, I know all too well how important it is to get the transit set up as quickly as possible without worry about tangled strings, or knots that slip. In a high production environment, minutes count, especially when a Continuous miner or shuttle car are waiting for the crew to get the Survey stations set. Products in development and currently undergoing testing are Glow rods. Used with Mine management to take centers. These specifically designed Glow rods are of a good diameter and have a built in light source. These light sources are MSHA intrinsically safe. Other products will be added as time allows.
