Underestimated

Underestimated is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering refugee and immigrant women as they rebuild their lives in a new country. Through a holistic approach combining Settlement Engagement and Transition Services (SETS), awareness-raising initiatives, and community development, we provide women with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive in their new homes. Our SETS services offer essential orientation programs, language support, education institutions access guidance and scholarships support and entrepreneurship trainings and employment readiness training, ensuring that refugee and immigrant women can navigate their new environment with confidence. We also facilitate programs that promote community integration and cultural exchange, fostering mutual understanding and stronger connections between immigrant women and the broader community. By raising awareness about the unique challenges faced by these women, we promote empathy, inclusivity, and social cohesion. Our mentorship programs, peer support networks, and mental health resources help women build resilience, while our community events and workshops provide spaces for personal growth, cultural celebration, and empowerment. At Underestimated, we believe that with the right support, every woman can create a brighter future for herself and her family. Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, we are creating a world where refugee and immigrant women can lead fulfilling, independent, and empowered lives.
