Unearthen is a custom and seasonal jewelry label based in Los Angeles. Gia Bahm created Unearthen in 2006. Bahm is known for unique, unusual, and innovative designs that are deeply meaningful. Her designs are a constant pairing of opposites, both timeless and timely. Bahm combines raw crystals and faceted semi-precious and precious stones, one of a kind pendants, and rings using rare crystals and gemstones. She selects stones and metals according to the histories, qualities, and ethically sourced materials. Bahm has over 10 years of expertise in jewelry design and production. She moved to New York in 2003 to work in the wardrobe and fashion styling industry before entering the world of jewelry. She is a collector, an aestheticist, a creator and a destructor.much like all of us who are constantly perplexed by the forces of nature and humankind. Gia Bahm developed her first collection in 2006 under representation of Opening Ceremony Showroom, and has since moved to Los Angeles where she continues to design and manufacture seasonal collections, custom design pieces, special collaborations, and other private label and commissioned projects. IT IS POSSIBLE that most Unearthen pieces have already chosen their bearers. The uniting of the crystal and metal creates a powerful combination, causing old dreams and new beginnings to fall upon its bearer.
