Unicities

The UniCities project began on 1 February 2023 and is co-funded by the EU’s Erasmus+ programme. KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain) will support players in Ukraine in creating similar innovation programmes with a mission for climate-neutral and sustainable cities, inspired by programmes such as Viable Cities in Sweden and CitiES2030 in Spain. UniCities includes four Ukrainian universities, one research institute, the Association of Ukrainian Cities representing a vast majority of Ukrainian municipalities where more than 90% of the Ukrainian population resides, and two organizations in the civil and commercial sector – all uniting around climate-smart and green rebuilding of Ukrainian cities.
