Our ecologists are experienced in surveying, licensing, and mitigating for a wide range of protected species and habitats. Our ecologists are licenced by Natural England, Natural Resources Wales and Scottish Natural Heritage to survey for bats and great crested newts, members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), and are also certified by Manchester Metropolitan University and the Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland (BSBI) to undertake preliminary ecological appraisals (aka phase 1 habitat surveys), as well as more complex botanical surveys. UES’ Managing Director, Toby Hart, is also a registered consultants of Natural England’s Bat Mitigation Class Licence (BMCL).
