Upphandlingskontoret genomför gemensamma upphandlingar till samtliga kommuner i Jämtlands län, samt vissa tillhörande kommunala bolag och förbund. Upphandlingskontoret finns i Östersund och upphandlar varor och tjänster som de samverkande kommunerna i Jämtlands län har behov av. Vi är ett kontor med tio medarbetare där kontoret leds politiskt av en gemensam nämnd för upphandlingssamverkan (GNU). De åtta kommunerna med tillhörande bolag och förbund ingår i denna samverkan och styrs av ett gemensamt samarbetsavtal.
