UpRound is a venture capital student organization dedicated to interdisciplinary undergraduate venture capital education, engaging the broader venture community with Southeastern Michigan, and creating a stronger sense of community within Michigan entrepreneurship- UpRound's first initiative was a student venture capital competition that simulates an accelerated investment process - Obtained status as the official Michigan qualifier for the national uVCIC competition - Built partnerships with several VC firms, corporate sponsors, and university offices - Created training sessions to teach how a VC firm works, research and due diligence, and term sheets - Engaged over 200 students - Hosted VC guests from firms with a combined $5B under management
