Uranus Computing Limited is a fresh start up (founded in 2013) offering B2B services and solutions in the area of Information Technologies, with emphasis in Cloud Brokering and Big Data Analytics. Uranus aspires to fill in the gaps and build bridges among involved parties closer in these areas. We understand and strive to remove the main obstacles inhibiting the uptake of cloud (cost, vendor lock-in, data privacy/security, regulation, learning curve to name a few) and of big data (lack of specialised know-how and trust in novel technologies) and we intend to offer services for that purpose. Uranus aims to become a leading player in the areas of multi-cloud brokerage and big data analytics, targeting at providing mediator, management and intelligent value-added services to both businesses and users. The founders and shareholders of the company bring on board a complementary and comprehensive skill set, developed during their tenure with a top consulting house (McKinsey & Co), industry leaders (such as Siemens and Nokia), other start-ups and research institutions and universities. In particular, the research engagement brings significant experience and know-how on novel technologies that have been tested in real user environments.
