Urology Unbound

Urology Unbound is a Non-Profit organization dedicated to recruiting, retaining, and promoting underrepresented minority urologists. The organization was born from a grassroots effort by Black urology residents and fellows who recognized that the novel virtual interview season caused by the Covid-19 pandemic would likely disproportionately disadvantage minority medical students. Virtual programs and resource sharing quickly evolved into residency application reviews, mock virtual interviews, and mentorship. This effort, formally called the R Frank Jones Urology Interest Group, became Urology Unbound’s flagship pipeline program. Urology Unbound has been providing mentorship, networking opportunities, and support for underrepresented minority urologists at each level of their careers.
