I’m Luke McCoy, and I run USA Carry — a long-time resource for everyday carriers, firearm owners, and anyone interested in understanding real-world self-defense. Years ago, I built the original interactive concealed carry reciprocity maps to help responsible gun owners understand where their permit is valid while traveling. Those maps have since become one of the most-used tools in the concealed carry space, helping millions navigate constantly changing laws. These days, much of my work focuses on real-world education delivered through content. My Flying With Guns series documents what it’s actually like to declare and travel legally with a firearm across different airports and airlines. I also cover firearm news, defensive gun use incidents, training concepts, gun and gear reviews, and the day-to-day realities of carrying. My goal isn’t hype — it’s clarity. I believe responsible gun ownership starts with understanding the law, developing solid skills, and keeping a level-headed mindset. Whether someone is new to concealed carry or has been carrying for years, I try to create content that is practical, honest, and grounded in real experience.
