Utkal University holds the pride of place being the 17th oldest and one of the premier universities in India. Established prior to independence in 1943, the University has earned unmatched goodwill and reputation of being the best centre for higher education in Odisha and eastern India. In its 399.9 acre sprawling campus in the heart of Bhubaneswar at Vani Vihar, alongside NH-05, the University imparts higher education to students in 27 post graduate teaching and research departments, apart from 16 sponsored courses and two UGC Innovative Programs.
