Uwc Macedonia

United World Colleges (UWC) is a unique international organisation which educates students from all over the world, carefully chosen by their National Committees, taking into consideration their academic success and potential, regardless of their financial status. These students study and live together in one of the 18 colleges around the world, where they follow one of the most prestigious preparatory programs for further undergraduate studies, International Baccalaureate (IB). Nowadays, 70 to 90 countries on average are represented in each of the colleges, which further points out the importance of getting to know, accepting and coexisting with different cultures. The environment in the colleges stresses that social life is just as important as academic achievement. In 2010, The Macedonian National Committee was remodeled according to the values and mission of the UWC movement. Made up of UWC alumni and volunteers, the Macedonian National Committee is committed to conducting a fair and transparent selection process, as well as to representing UWC on the territories of the Republic of North Macedonia.
