About Vail Scientific Our mission is to save lives through early detection of sepsis. Our vision is a world where any patient can be quickly and accurately screened for sepsis at point of care and get treatment without delay, to reduce the healthcare risks and costs related to sepsis. Vail Scientific was established in 2015 by four founders with over 80 years of combined, relevant industry experience. They are inventors, named on over 50 patents. They are authors, publishing work on over 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications. Founders have a proven track-record of industry success, commercializing over a dozen new industry products. Current Sepsis Screenings are Ineffective Sepsis is fast moving and deadly. Mortality risks increase 8% each hour that Sepsis is untreated. Physicians are forced to use quick screening protocols because confirmatory blood tests can take 3-4 days. Quick screening protocols used today are SIRS & qSOFA. The Vail Solution Vail Scientific’s novel early-detection screening technology (patent pending) relies on non-invasive, real-time measurements. Ease of use, combined with superior sensitivity and specificity will enable confident patient screening for sepsis at point of care.
