Vailakis & Associates Architects

Vailakis & Associates is an Architectural Practice located in Heraklion, Crete, in Greece founded in 1969. The practice was established by architect Haris Vailakis and later on architect Nickolas Vailakis joined the team. Since its establishment the practice has been dealing systematically with the design, planning, supervision and construction of private and public projects of a wide variety and scale such as residences, hotels, office buildings and commercial space, school units, restoration of old buildings and monuments, urban regeneration projects, interior design and landscape design. The practice has won various competitions and has collaborated at times with practices from Athens and abroad. The practice's projects have been exhibited in the 11th Venice Biennale and the practice’s work has been published in national and local architectural magazines. Vailakis & Associates basic principle, apart from the project design and the issuing of the planning permission, is the close and proper monitoring of the building process from the beginning of the project until the very end of the construction, offering turnkey solutions.
