Valient Energy is a dynamic upstream oil and gas exploration company with an outstanding team of management and directors. Valient’s initial acreage holding is in the highly prospective onshore exploration Block A in Benin in the sparsely-explored Dahomey coastal basin. The strategic focus of the Company is on new opportunities for exploration and development across Africa, both Sub-Saharan and North African. Block A in Benin covers a total of 716,300 acres and Valient, through its wholly-owned subsidiary NS Oil & Gas Benin SARL, has 100 per cent interest and operatorship under a Production Sharing Contract (PSC) effective February 11, 2014. The area shows a proven petroleum system with production near-shore to the south and oil seeps onshore to the northeast. Valient will be acquiring seismic in 2015 and has plans to drill the first exploration well in 2016. The Company is actively seeking additional hydrocarbon exploration and development opportunities in Africa to build its pan-African exploration portfolio further.
