Valley Capital Partners is a leading boutique early stage venture capital firm with offices in Menlo Park, CA; Pittsburgh, PA, and Hong Kong, HK. Since 1997 our partners have been investing with a simple thesis- we believe in only backing a handful of extraordinary founders at one time. We are proud to day to be investing actively from our 4th core fund and 13th vehicle. We write high conviction, highly concentrated checks of $3M-$7M+ at the earliest stages to help founders build their ideal foundation for growth, followed by checks of up to $30M+ into portfolio companies ready to scale. We believe the best founders have the option who they work with; time and again we have been selected over larger firms due to the referrals of successful prior founders. By working on so few active deals at any time, we can provide extraordinary service to each portfolio company. As a partner to our founders, we connect them directly to an extensive network of family offices, institutions, and individuals for whom we act as their earliest stage institutional capital, and with only 2-3 new investments ever made in a given year, our partners can also spend time helping our founders access the networks they need while they focus on building. Our mandate is to be flexible and creative; each company we believe has its own capital requirements, unique team and culture, and path to execute at scale and we bring the right select networks to engage when our founders are ready to help fill early gaps. We invest solely on a referral basis through our LP, co-investor, founder, and partner networks, with referrals from trusted parties helping ensure fit from the start for long term capital partnerships. With a track record of extraordinary value created by founders we were fortunate enough to be selected to work with since 1997, from Arista to Yubico, we continue to focus today on doubling down on extraordinary founders on a mission to change the world.
