General Valuers Afrika (Pty) Ltd is a private company formed as a company in 2005 to undertake valuations of immovable properties. Our vision and mission Our vision is: To be a leading valuation firm in Mpumalanga, southern Limpopo, Eastern Gauteng and the northern KwaZulu Natal provinces, with a professional, highly qualified personnel and a client basis over the whole of Africa. Our mission is: • to have a growing, profitable, valuation business, that does professional valuations, • to deliver a service to our municipal, governmental, corporate and individual clients, over and above the normal valuation process, • to transfer skills to all personnel, to train them and to help them to grow with the company, so as to also be able to share in the future financial rewards, • To also transfer skills to our clients where it is applicable. The type of valuations we undertake We mostly do valuations of immovable property, but movable property can also be valued. All types of properties can be valued, e.g: • Commercial, industrial, residential and agricultural • Rights in property, e.g: servitudes, mineral rights, leases, etc, For the purpose of purchase/sell, lease, expropriation, security, investments, municipal rating purposes, insurance, etc. At present the valuations we do, as a percentage of time spent, as an average, is- Agricultural properties - 20%- Residential properties - 10%- Commercial and Industrial - 20%- Other properties - 10%- Municipal valuation rolls - 40% Presently we do valuations for corporations like Transnet, Sanral, Telkom, Eskom, etc, Government departments (Department of Rural Development & Land Reform in the Mpumalanga, Gauteng, Limpopo- and KwaZulu Natal Provinces, Department of Agriculture, Department of Public Works), District Municipalities, Local Municipalities, Land Bank, Other commercial banks, private companies, farming companies, individuals, etc.
