Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Co-operative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune is an apex Grant in aid institute under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India. It was established in the year 1964 with a vision to cater management development through training, education, research and consultancy needs of various co-operative organisations, government departments and other national bodies. The institute is committed towards contributing to co-operative as well as corporate sector through various functional areas - Centre for Management Education (PGDM-ABM), Centre for Gender Studies, Research, Consultancy & Publications, Co-operative Management, Centre for Information Technology. VAMNICOM initially started a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course way back in 1993, later gradually transformed its focus considering ever growing need of professional managers in the field of Agri Business and offered the course with specialization in Agri Business Management (ABM) since 2004. The programme has been recognized by AICTE, Government of India, recognized by AIU and accredited by NBA as equivalent to MBA degree. PGDM-ABM with its varied curriculum and interactive pedagogy is an endeavor towards fulfilling the need for the new breed of business architects to pave the path towards a brighter tomorrow. VAMNICOM has been adjudged as one of the top sectorial B-School in India and ranked A+ by Business India. It has also received education leadership award by ABP NEWS in the year 2016. VAMNICOM has maintained its reputation of 100% placements since the inception of PGDM-ABM programme in the diversified sectors like Agri input, Banking & Microfinance, Commodity, Development, Research & Consultancy, Retail, Co-operative Organizations, etc.
