When Heinrich van Laack started van Laack with two partners in 1881 - the vision for the brand and company was quite simply to manufacture the most luxurious shirt available. By 1970, the van Laack product line is expanded to include womenswear and the company starts on its international expansion maintaining its ethos of premium quality and workmanship. In 2009, van Laack's internal footprint leads to the acquisition of the Australian brand Herringbone Sydney - a fully fledged ready-to-wear Brand for men and women celebrated for its classic sartorial style and unwavering commitment to quality. By 2012, van Laack Australia acquires Rhodes & Beckett - another icon of Australia with a rich history in tailored luxury fashion again broadening its presence in SouthEast Asia.
