Vanderwell is a family-owned company operating in Alberta’s Slave Lake region. We’re proud of the reputation we’ve built in over 75 years of manufacturing high-quality wood products for wholesale customers. Key to our business is our replanting program, ensuring our forests exist for future generations. In 2022, we will achieve a record of 100 million trees planted since 1994. Our success is credited to the people who work at Vanderwell. As a company, we believe that our values, starting with safety, are what guide all our actions. Making a real difference in the lives of the people who work at Vanderwell and making a positive impact in the surrounding communities is at the core of what we do. We manufacture dimensional lumber, wood pellets, shavings, and chips for wholesale customers. We’re a major employer in the Slave Lake region; more than 150 employees work at Vanderwell in many different areas and positions - mill production, sales and shipping, woodlands, truck and mobile equipment shops, as well as administration. Contract and part-time employees also work at Vanderwell in maintenance, transportation, and seasonal activities.
