Vanity Consulting (Pty) Ltd, is an Information Communications and Telecommunications (ICT) company that was formed in 2001 and incorporated in 2004. with a particular focus on city-centric ICT services, including broadband value-added services. As broadband pioneers, from 2001 to 2004, Vanity Consulting provided value-added services on an 802.11 platform ahead of the curve. We also built strong credentials in Management Consulting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). From 2004 onwards, we specialized in Desktop Support, Telephony, Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), Data Centre, Wi-Fi and a number of Applications such as Share-Point, Exchange and SAP (ERP). In 2014, we joined a worldwide effort to find answers to vexing questions about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and what it means for industries and humanity as a whole. This gave rise to the establishment of an AI Research Unit. Our AI philosophy is based on a paradigm shift, whereby programming was linear, tedious, brittle and un-scalable. What you put in is what you got out. Today, the introduction of Machine Learning, Big Data, IoT and Analytics has opened vistas that scientists and engineers could not see a decade ago. The world has changed, there has been a seismic shift. Today programmers write source code and expose it to a self-learning algorithm that learns and improves on its own.
